While we do have a general minimum booking duration of 5 days, we may be able to accomodate shorter bookings in low season or in between other bookings. Please contact us to discuss your desired travel dates.
The below quotation is database generated and includes long term hire discounts of 5% for bookings exceeding 30 days, 10% for bookings exceeding 40 days and 20% for bookings exceeding 90 days.
All our rentals include comprehensive insurance with your daily hire. This covers accidental damage to the campervan or rental car and public liability.
This includes overhead and underbody damage (the most common accidents), single-vehicle accidents (e.g. you reverse into a bollard at a campsite), towing and recovery of your motorhome or rental car , fire or vandalism.
If the motorhome or rental car or any of its equipment is damaged, you are required to contribute to the cost of replacement or repair up to the excess amount.

If there’s more than one incident in which the motorhome or rental car is damaged, a separate liability applies for each incident.
You are required to take all reasonable steps to ensure the motorhome or rental car is not damaged. We recommend you check out our Rental Terms and Conditions for any exclusions.
Our Basic insurance option is included with your rental. It covers you for accidental damage to the motorhome or rental car as well as damage to someone else’s vehicle or property—as long as you’re not being negligent or irresponsible.
The included Basic liability option has a NZ$7500 excess (or deductible) for campervans and motorhomes and NZ$750 for rentals cars, but we also offer a liability reduction option for added peace of mind.
Our Premium Insurance Option for $30 a day reduces your maximum liability per incident to $1000 for campervans and motorhomes. We do not offer a liability reduction for rental cars.
If you wish to reduce your excess further, you can choose a travel insurance or a vehicle excess reduction insurance that will often offer a reduction to nil.
Upon pickup of the vehicle you will be required to pay a security bond based on the excess. For bookings shorter than 30 days we are able to pre-authorise your credit card, however for bookings longer than 30 days we are unable to pre-authorise and therefore require the bond to be paid via credit card or cash.
When booking a campervan or rental car you can choose to pay in full or pay a 30% Deposit with the balance due 30 days prior to your booking. We will send you a payment reminder. If the balance has not been received 30 days prior to the booking, your booking will automatically be cancelled and no refund given.
