Ever been to this cool little cove? Hidden behind cliffs, this little beach is the perfect spot to float and soak up Auckland’s west coast vibes. But here’s the catch—you can only reach it at the right time!

📍 Located at the very end of Piha Beach, this little slice of paradise is called the Blue Pool. At low tide, you can simply walk along the beach to get here. But at high tide, you’ll need to take the track over the cliffs—though be aware that it’s currently washed out!

🌊 The Blue Pool is tucked just behind The Gap, a rocky passage where waves crash through, creating an incredible contrast between calm and wild ocean energy. It’s a favorite spot for locals to cool off, away from the powerful surf of Piha Beach.

🏕️ If you’re planning a weekend getaway, Piha has a great campground nearby! This west coast gem is also a hotspot for surfers, with some of the best waves in Auckland.
